[UPDATE] Worldly Saviors Alpha 0.1.14 HotFix_1


Hi everyone! I'm Torfi, dev from Worldly Saviors. We apologize for the delay of this update, many bugs to solve and new codes to rebuild! This update includes continuation of main story quests, new minigame, updated background arts, improved game UI and numerous bug fixes!

Updates:

  • Added a new questline following "Gilbert’s Woes"
  • Updated backgrounds from the Alley, Adventurers guild, and Tavern (inside & outside)! (Backgrounds made by Sinibun )
  • Updated the general UI design for in-game menus.
  • Overhauled the Quest Menu, including the addition of quest status indicators.
  • The Inventory Menu has been rebuilt from scratch with improved layout and functionality.
  • Applied visual updates to the text box.
  • Featured a "clue combining minigame"
  • Added new timed decisions mechanic.
  • Added a character image at the start to make the story flow more consistent.
  • Tweaks on the intro of the game.


Bugfixes:

  • Fixed an issue where Choice 3 (final chance to obey or rebel) appeared even when the player had consistently chosen to obey.
  • Battles where the "Tease" ability is unavailable now correctly display a message when the option is clicked.
  • The "Obeyed so far" dialogue no longer plays if the player has refused all obedience choices.
  • Gilbert's chores are now only accessible after receiving clothes from him, as intended.
  • Fixed a bug where winning or losing to the bear or fish incorrectly triggered the shark with the map post-battle scene.
  • Players can no longer re-enter the sewer grate and unlock the shoreline multiple times.
  • Fixed Herbs minigame not finishing.
  • Fixed Bakery quest triggering multiple times.
  • Fixed game crashing randomly on a battle.
  • Resolved an inventory syncing issue between saves:
    • Loading an early-game save previously retained items from a later point.
    • Starting a new game and loading a future save did not correctly restore inventory items.
    • This led to multiple instances of the same item or missing items during item-removal events.
  • The Rebel path now correctly ends after the Paddle event, not prematurely on the beach.
  • Fixed inventory exception errors caused by rolling back or progressing during scripted item removal (e.g., Noah's astrolabe, piece of paper, item crate):
    • The game would attempt to remove an item even if it was no longer in the inventory.
    • Rolling back or advancing dialogue multiple times could trigger this error if multiple instances of an item were removed sequentially.
